East Lansing, Michigan – As part of a year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX, Michigan State Athletics will send 12 female staff members to the National Conference of Women’s Leaders in Collegiate Sports October 9-11 in Kansas City, Missouri. To do.

Women Leaders in College Sports is the premier leadership organization that develops, connects and advances women working in college sports and beyond. Women leaders play an active role in promoting women to positions of influence and powerfully shape the female leadership landscape.

MSU Athletic uses national competitions as opportunities for professional development. Participants from various branches of the sports sector were selected after submitting applications containing explanations of how participation in the conference strengthens professional skill sets and promotes professional growth. Following the conference, all participants are expected to participate in a debriefing session to not only share what they have learned with their colleagues, but also to identify ways to continue investing and strengthen the culture of MSU Athletics. increase.
